Rhode Island, 1761

On the eve of his next voyage, a young sailor in the British Navy steps into a seaside tavern and finds himself drawn, hook, line, and sinker, into the town’s local legend - the phantom Hesperus and its ill-fated captain. By the flicker of lantern light and in the company of sailors older than salt, the tavern’s alewife spins a tale of love, loyalty, and sacrifice. Time unspools alongside a gathering storm; past and present blur, and the legend’s buried truths rise to the surface as, after all, the sea has a way of returning things long since lost.

Featuring music by Purcell, Schubert, Maude Valerie White, and more, Sea Fever is a candle-lit voyage of longing, lore, and the siren song of the sea.
